Words of Wisdom : Dad Edition

Lately, it’s been easy for me to try and be a part of everything that comes my way.

God graciously allowed me to call my dad and get some good, well-grounded advice. Dad’s WOW (words of wisdom): “You don’t have to do everything, you can select discerningly. Even Jesus took breaks in His ministry.”

It’s true! Jesus didn’t love people any less when He rested and went off to pray. In fact, He loved them best, as He does always, in those times by removing Himself from the presence of others. He prioritized His relationship with His Father above all. It also helped to reminded of God’s love and what it means to be realized in the lives of His children as I read from the “Piper devotional” app while waiting for dinner. {side note: September 10-13 on Matthew 6. If you haven’t read those entries before, I highly recommend doing so!}

Take a deep breath.

Pray some more.

And keep reminding yourself of God’s truths.

Rejoice in them!

And praise Him.
