Childhood musings

When we grow physically from young children to adults, our perspective changes – literally. As our range of vision ventures higher and higher, our view of what is available shifts accordingly. That cookie jar (or strawberry belts, in my case) was just out of reach, so it didn’t matter how hard I tried. I couldn’t see and definitely could not reach it.

As you get older, however, things change. The tempting sweet is no longer out of reach; you must now exercise self control and obey your parents’ rules, regardless of whether they’re there to watch your behavior or not.

just some random thoughts~
